About Ingrid Dohm
Ingrid was born and raised in Austria. She is an Austrian citizen with permanent U. S. Residency status. She is married with three children and five grandchildren. In school she was always fascinated with any instrument be it pen, pencil or crayon, that could make anything from a strait line to a complicated image. She really never understood at the time why she had this strong attraction for art supplies, never could make the connection between it and her love of nature. It wasn’t until she came to the United States and married that the association was made. A casual remark by her husband, that she had a natural talent and propensity to draw and paint, made her realize that she ought to get going. A starter paint kit was purchased and that’s the beginning of the story.
Her formal art training was completed at Rockford College, Rockford, IL as a studio art major.
Her two favorite artists are Janet Fish (living) and Pierre Auguste Renoir (deceased). Ingrid is very active in her community, Rockford, IL, and has garnered many accolades and awards.
